Zola Blanche Herrick Hewitt. 92. was born August 24, 1901 in Adair County, Iowa to Charles O. and Mary L. Herrick and died September 30, 1993 in Villisca, Iowa.
Services were held Saturday, October 2, from the Wolfe Funeral Home in Villisca, the Rev. Albert Baker officiating. Burial was in Prairie Rose Cemetery, near Corning.
On September 2, 1925, she married William S. Hewitt. They spent most of their lives farming and the last 10 years she was a resident of Good Samaritan Rest Home in Villisca.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, two brothers, three sisters, a son-in-law, and a granddaughter.
Survivors include five children, Nadine N. Johnson of Villisca, Lewona F. Moore, of Hamburg, Ruth E. Holland of Boone, Phyllis J. Seldler of Corning, and Robert D. Hewitt of Springfield, Missouri. a brother Earl Herrick of Shenandoah, 23 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren.
Casket bearers and honorary bearers were Larry Johnson, Steve Johnson, Monty Moore, Rodney Moore, Jeff Hewitt, Gary Moore, Rick Holland, Danny Johnson, Randy Moore, Greg Moore, Kirk Hewitt, Gail Seldler, Terry Holland, and Gordon Holland.
