Leon "Paddy" Humbert, son of Ernest and Letha Gordon Humbert was born July 6, 1900 in Corning, Iowa and passed away October 17, 1978 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 78 years, 3 months, and 11 days.
He was united in marriage to Ida Bell at Bridgewater, Iowa May 30, 1922.
He is survived by his wife, Ida of Des Moines; two daughters, Carol Humbert of Des Moines, and Beverly Chiasson of Livonia, Michigan; two sons, Gordon of Marion and Clark Humbert of San Jose, California.
Mr. Humbert is a former resident of Corning.
Funeral services were held at the Larkin-Roland Funeral Home in Corning, October 20 at 3:00 p.m. with Joe Cook officiating. Interment was in Prairie Rose Cemetery, Corning, Iowa.
Organ music was furnished by Erma Fuller. Pall bearers were Vernon Boswell, Clifford Brown, Albert Crow, Harry Grundman, Max Lines, and John Riegel. Circle Lodge #275, A.F. & A.M. conducted Masonic Rites at the cemetery.
