Mrs. William Beatty passed from this earth and went to her home in heaven, May 22, 1901. She was born in Athens County, Ohio, January 13, 1839 and was married to William Beatty May 21, 1858. Four children were born to them, one young lady who had gone on before was waiting and watching for her. The other three were present at the funeral. She was a faithful member of the M. E. Church for over forty years. The family are old settlers in this community and her demise will be learned with sorry by her many friends. The funeral services were held at the home Thursday conducted by Rev. T. A. Farley of the M. E. Church and the body was laid to rest in the Nodaway Cemetery.
