Bush, Charlotte Jackson -
Mrs. Orvin (Charlotte) Bush, 49, died at Rosary hospital in Corning Monday evening, July 15th, following a lingering illness. Mrs. Bush had been taken
to the hospital Sunday.
She was born November 7, 1918 at Nevinville, Iowa, and was united in marriage to Orvin Bush January 10, 1946. To this union, two children, Paula and
Jeffrey were born. The family lived for several years in the Stringtown neighborhood and have been residing at the present farm home for the past 15
years. Mrs. Bush taught school for several years and was a member of the Methodist church in which she was an ardent worker.
Survivors include her husband, one son Jeffrey, a daughter Paula, her father Charles W. Jackson of Creston, one sister, Mrs. Marvin Nelson of Des Moines,
two brothers, Bradford D. Jackson and Wayne D. Jackson, both of rural Creston and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Jackson and one sister, Helen Donelison.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 p. m. from the Methodist Church with Rev. Floyd Newbrough officiating.
Music will be furnished by Marjean Spicer. Bearers are Cecil Wilson Glenn Norton, Paul Brokaw, Ivan Lucas, Herman Haering and Eldon Jones.
The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be at Stringtown cemetery.
