Josephine Ross Jackson passed away at her home south of town, Sunday evening, at 6 o'clock, following a stroke of paralysis a few days before. funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon, at 3:39 o'clock conducted by Rev. Paul Hicks and interment will be made in Prairie Rose Cemetery.

Josephine Amanda Ross, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Ross was born December 25th, 1862 and died April 19, 1925, at the age of 62 years, 5 months, and 24 days. She united with the Baptist Country Church when a young girl and retained her membership until the disbanding of that organization. She then united with the Christian Church and later with the Methodist Church. She was married September 16th, 1884 to Charles F. Jackson. To this union were born three sons, and one daughter, Clarence, who passed away March 27, 1887; Verner of Nebraska, Benjamin who passed away November 3, 1918, and Mrs. Leila Cooney, who lived with her mother. She also leaves two brothers and one sister, George, Madison, and Edith Ross, all of Nodaway. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 at the home, conducted by Rev. Paul H. Hicks, pastor of the M. E. Church. Interment was made in the Prairie Rose Cemetery, beside her husband, who passed away a number of years ago.
