Clyde Eugene Kernen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kernen, was born July 26, 1926 and departed this life June 16, 1928, aged one year, 10 months, and 18 days. He leaves to mourn his going, his parents, four grandparents, two brothers, Randolph and Lyle, and one sister, Wilma, who will miss the little brother from their circle of good times together. There are many other relatives and uncles, aunts and cousins who will miss little Clyde.
The funeral services were held at the M. E. Church, Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with Rev. J. W. Ellis officiating. Interment was made in the Nodaway Cemetery. The singers were Mrs. C. J. Means, Mrs. H. C. Everett, with Mrs. C. N. Kennedy at the piano. The pallbearers were Mary and Elizabeth McElroy, Dorothy Jarman, Kathlyn Kennedy. The honorary pallbearers were Louise Kernen, Dorothy Williams, Marguerite Ellis, and Martha Simpson.
