Mrs. Calvin Homan, passed from this life at her home in Corning, Tuesday, October 26, 1920. Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church Thursday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. W. C. Miles, of the Federated church and Rev, Jay Kirkendall, of the M. E. Church. The body will be laid to rest in Prairie Rose cemetery.
Mrs. Homan, formerly Miss Blanche Perry, was born in McDonough county, Illinois, June 27, 1885, She came her parents, (Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Perry, to Adams county in 1889, and has since made her home in and around Corning. Mrs. Homan was well known to most of our readers. She has been employed as saleslady in a number of the stores of our city, having recently been in the Corning Mercantile store. She had many friends. Beside her husband and little daughter, Mina Grace, who is only a few days old, Mrs. Homan leaves her parents, and two brothers. Earl Perry, residing near Corning, and Frank Perry, of Des Moines, Mr and Mrs. Homan were married on Christmas Eve, 1919. The bereaved ones have the sympathy of the community in their sorrow.
