At the time of her death the deceased was aged 46 years, 4 months and 5 days.
At the age of 15 years she united with the M.E. Church and has ever since lived a devoted christian life. She talked much during her last months of suffering of her longing to go to the mansion that she kew was prepared for her in the home above and as long as her strength would permit often sang her favorite songs.
Services were conducted from the Adams County First Baptist Church Wednesday at 2:00 o'clock by Rev. Carder, pastor of the Massena M.E. Church and was from the text John 14,1-2-3 verses and was selected by the deceased as were also some of the songs sung by the Carl choir. The casket was completely covered with beautiful flowers provided by kind and loving friends and the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery[Forest Hill Cemetery, Mt. Etna,Iowa] near the church by the side of her former husband.
The deceased leaves to mourn her death besides the devoted husband and children, her mother who is sick and was unable to attend the funeral and the following brothers and sisters; Lane Synder of Prescott, Cora Moores of Lenox, Rose Gillett of Prescott, Ada Sheldon of Cameron, Missouri, Etha Parrish of Bridgewater, Lola Miner of Carl, Rena Mostoller of Sac City, and Frank Snyder of Chadron, Nebraska, all of whom were present at the funeral except the two latter. Besides those mentioned are a host of other relatives and friends who will never forget the sunny disposition of Mrs. Davs and with what patience she bore all of her suffering.
