Final riles for Eugene Milton Narigon, 67, of Nodaway, were conducted at the Nodaway Cemetery in Nodaway Saturday, Sept. 10. Graveside rites were led by Joe Cook.
Casket bearers were Deane Brees, Bud Hethcote Donald Smart, Glen Figgins, Dan Schneider and Harold Walter. Military graveside rites were conducted i by Ourcq Post 117, American Legion of Corning.
Mr. Narigon was born April 9, 1921, in Saint Joseph, Mo., the son of John Milton Narigon and Florence M. Curry Narigon. He died from injuries sustained in an auto accident Sept. 1. At the time of his death, he was a patient in Saint Joseph Hospital in Omaha, Neb., Sept. 8, 1988. He lived In Nodaway until moving to Prescott in 1959. He returned to Nodaway in 1982. Mr. Narigon was a farmer and construction worker. He served with the U.S. Navy in World War II. 1942 to 1945. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Prescott.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Gayle Snell and husband, Dave of Harlan. and Ardith Narigon of Harlan; one son, John M. Narigon of Ames; three grandchildren; and his children's mother, Ardith G. Narigon.
Memorials may be directed to the Prescott Public Library.
