Services were held March 31, 1988, at ihe Sutphen-Beaty Funeral Home In Villisca for Virgil King. 66, of Red Oak. He died at his home on March 28. The Rev. F.E. Henderson officiated.
Casket bearers were Ross King, Dave Walton, Delbert King, Wade Mauderly, Jerry Mauderly, and Corwin Mauderly. Burial was in the Maple Grove Cemetery at Ouss.
Mr. King was born Nov. 2, 1921, In Nodaway Township, Taylor County, the son of Charles J. and Lena Kendrick King. During his early years he worked on several farms in the Adams and Taylor county areas. He moved to Red Oak in 1951 where he worked as a laborer at various jobs including the Mental Health Institute in Clarinda, several foundaries in the Red Oak area and as an employee of Montgomery County.
He was preceded In death by his parents and one sister, Velda Beck.
Mr. King is survived by his children, Roger V. King and wife. Lynda Lou, Ronald R. King and wife. Linda Kay, Joanne Williams and husband, Ron, R Janette Farnum and husband, Ron F., all of Red Oak, Charles M. King and wife, Pamela of Belton, Mo., and Jon Marvin King and wife, Tammi of Red Oak; brother, Ora King and wife, Ethel of Odessa, Texas; sister. Ruby McKee of Estherville: 14 grandchildren
and one greatgrandchild.
