Corning friends and relatives were shocked and grieved to learn of the death of Marion Bunting, of Mitchell, South Dakota on Thursday, July 21st. His sister, Mrs. Caroline Means, of Corning, and brother, John Bunting, of Hendrick went to Mitchell to attend family resided in this community for fifteen or twenty years, on a farm south of Corning, leaving here about six or seven years ago for Mitchell, South Dakota. The deceased gentleman is survived by his wife, one son, residing in Portland, Oregon, and four daughters, one in Spokane, Washington, and three near the parental home. He also leaves his mother, Mrs. Mary Bunting of Corning, who is nearly 90 years of age and quite ill at this writing; two sisters, Mrs. Caroline Means of Corning, and Mrs. Frank McKade of Bozeman, Montana, the later having arrived in Corning some days ago to help care for her mother, and one brother, John of Hendrick. His father and one brother, Orville D. Bunting preceded him in death.
