Friends were grieved to learn of the death of little Zita Pickett, daugnter of Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Pickett Sunday. Zita had been ill a short time and was taken to a hospital in Creston Saturday for an operation for appendicitis, where she passed away Sunday, aged 9 years, 3 months
and 21 days. The remains were brought to Corning Monday on No. 3 and the funeral services were held at,the home of her parents Tuesday at 2 o'clock conducted hy Rev. Jay Kirkendall, pastor of the M. E. Church. Interment was made in Prairie Rose cemetery. The sorrowing relatives have the sympathy of a host of friends, who had learned to love little Zita because of her sweet disposition and winning manner. The flowers at the funeral, sent by the post office force where Mr. Pickett works, the force at the Biggar store, and other friends were beautiful.
