Bruce Marsh, son of W.Z. and Malvina Marsh, was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, June 2, 1871, and died June 28,1918, aged 47 years and 26 days. At the age of 7 years he, with his parents, moved to Brooks, Iowa, where he has lived since that time. He was married to Miss Mattie E. Tucker on August 27,1890. To this union one child was born. He is survived by his wife and daughter, Eva. His mother, Mrs. W.Z. Marsh; two brothers, Harry of Brooks and Walter of Villisca; one sister, Mrs. Wm. Steadman of Nodaway and a host of friends.
Mr. Marsh has been engaged in the general merchandise business in Brooks for the last 26 years. He will be greatly missed by his many patrons and friends. He was a kind father and congenial friend.
The funeral service was held Sunday at 2 o'clock at the home of Mart Harlow. The sermon was preached by Rev. J,.A. Nayle of Massena M.E. Church. Interment was made in the Nodaway Cemetery.
