Lucy Ann Boyles Norcutt was born in Erie County, Pennsylvania, April 4, 1832 and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. H. Wright, July 15, 1904 of a complication of diseases terminating at last in paralysis which ended her life, being at the time of her death, 72 years, 3 months, and 11 days of age. She was the mother of 13 children, 9 of whom survive her, 7 being present at the funeral. She joined the church at the age of 14 years and lived a faithful Christian life. She has been a great sufferer for the last ten years, but waited patiently for her Savior, often saying, "I long to go." She has gone to be with loved ones gone before. Funeral was conducted by Rev. L. B. Carpenter at the M. E. Church, July 16, at 3 o'clock, interment in Nodaway Cemetery.
