Serilda Strader Bull was born in Vigo County, Indiana, March 18, 1943 and passed away at her home in Nodaway, Iowa, January 29, 1929 aged 85 years, 10 months, and 13 days.
In September 1866 she was united in marriage to James M. Bull, who preceded her in death December 12, 1926. To this union three children were born; William W., who died in infancy, Anna of Nodaway, and Charles of Villisca, who survive her.
Mrs. Bull came to Iowa in the spring of 1874 and settled on a farm north of Nodaway where she lived until the spring of 1918 when she moved to Nodaway where she has since made her come. She was converted and became a member of the Methodist Church early in life and to this faith had faithfully clung.
She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, patient and kind, loving all and loved by all. Grandma Bull is the last of a family of four, one brother and two sisters preceding her in death.
She leaves to mourn her going one son, Charles of Villisca and one daughter, Mrs. C. O. Barker of Nodaway, ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild besides a host of neighbors and friends.
