Ann Luretta Brown, age 95, fifth child of Soloman and Lettia Hardisty, was born February 9, 1884 and passed away May 29, 1979 at Grant City, Missouri.
She was married March 1, 1909 to William (Billy) Brown. No children were born to this union. They lived for many years at Brooks, Iowa and later moved in or near Grant City, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and parents; three brothers, Arthur, Burton, and Wilmer; and five sisters, Lurena, age 9 months, Nora Mack Penland, Elva May Falconer, Effie Hardisty, age 12, and Emma Hyde.
Survivors include two brothers, Lee and Ed Hardisty; two sisters, Rosa Means and Ruby Powell; a niece Goldie Means, reared by the Hardistys, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services were held June 2, at the Prugh Dunfee Funeral Chapel, Grant City, Missouri. Burial was in the Quincy Cemetery. Pallbearers were Paul Hardisty, Berl Wilson, Ivan Groff, Darnold Hardisty, Rex Welling, Leo Powell, and Clifford Miller.
