Ambrose, Leota Grace Haley –
Leota Grace Haley, daughter of Tom and Florence Haley, was born Nov. 26, 1927, near Nodaway, Iowa, and passed away on Jan. 17, 1951 of virus pneumonia at the Creston hospital at the age of 23 years, 1month and 21 days.

On January 21, 1947, she was united in marriage to Reldon Ambrose of Lenox, Iowa, and to this union, one daughter, Judy Marie, was born. Mrs. Ambrose spent her entire life in Adams county and attended the Mount Zion church of south Brooks until her marriage.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband and young daughter, her parents, four sisters: Mrs. Fern Mitchell of Sheridan, Mo., Mrs. Esther Travis of Corning, Mrs. Doris Pashek of Cromwell and Mrs. Darlene Palmer of Nodaway; three brothers: Delmar of Brooks and Calvin and Jim of Nodaway; and two aged grandmothers. One brother Clyde preceded her in death on Oct. 21, 1949.

She was a kind and loving mother, devoted wife and a friend to all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Funeral services, conducted by the Arnold Funeral Home, were held Jan. 19, with the Rev. Harold Butts officiating. Interment in Lenox cemetery.
