Services Held for Mrs.Ruby Soderburg

Last rites in memory of Ruby F.Soderburg, wife of John E.Soderburg, and a long-time Adair County resident, were held at the Greenfield United Methodist Church Thursday afternoon at 2p.m., March 20,1980. The Rev.Richard T.Hohl officiated at the service.
Mrs.Soderburg passed away at the Greater Community Hospital in Creston March 16 at the age of 73 years.
Music for the service was provided by Mrs.Soderburg's son-in-law Peter Potter, vocalist who sang "How Great Thou Art" and "Going Home" from the Dvorak New World Symphony. Mrs. Alice Hogan accompanied on the organ.
In charge of the floral tributes were Mr.and Mrs. Ted Speed, Mrs.Thelma Carlson and Mrs.Evelyn Woodson.
Active pallbearers included Jim Lents, Dick Hoadley, Bill Overmyer, Loy Miner, Harold Hanks and Charles Frederick. Serving as honorary bearers were Kial Moore, Eldon Stowell, Norral Smith and Jack Hoadley. Interment was in the Greenfield Cemetery, with Bickford-Murray Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
A memorial fund has been established at the Adair County State Bank with a purpose to be decided on.
