Bertha Doreen Wyllie Johnson

Bertha Doreen Wyllie, daughter of William H. and Christina Wyllie, was born February 16, 1918, on her parents' farm south of Bridgewater.
She attended a rural school one-half mile from her home.
After graduatiion she assisted her parents with the work on the farm.
After the sudden death of her father, she and her sister Elvina, helped their mother keep the home together.
In 1943 she and her mother moved to Bridgewater.
On Dec. 26th of that year her mother passed away.
She later moved to Greenfield where she and her sister bought a home together.
On May 25, 1947, she was baptized into the Christian faith by the Rev. George Vogel at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Greenfield.
On August 18, 1948, she was united in marriage to Elmer Johnson who continues to reside at their home at 207 N. Cedar Street in Creston.
Besides her husband she is survived by a son and four daughters: Wanda Maire (now Mrs. Larry Buckner of Atlantic), Juanita Mar, Kathleen Kay, Colleen Rae, and Otto Dean, who still remain at home.
She is also survived by two sisters: Mrs. May Feick and Mrs. Elvina Allen.
There are two grandchildres: Ricky Buckner and Tammy Buckner.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Amanada Garner.
Mrs. Johnson was loved by her family and will always be remembered as a kind and loving mother who was willing to help them and others.
She was called from this life by our God on July 14 at the age of 52 years, 4 months, and 16 days.
