Harriet Esther Lundy, 86, passed away Sept.18 at the Adair County Memorial Hospital in Greenfield.
Harriet was born Feb.14,1918 to Harry & Eva [Hofmann] Fredick in Adair County.
She grew up on a farm south of Greenfield & attended Buffalo Wallow Country School through 5th grade. From 6th grade through 12th grade, she attended the Richland School, graduating with the class of 1936.
On Nov.24,1938 Harriet was united in marriage to Raymond Lundy in Maryville, Mo. They were the parents of 2 daughters Patricia & Sandra. They spent most of their married life on farms in Adair County before moving to Greenfield in the late 1980s. In Oct. 2003 they moved into the Greenfield Manor. In Feb.2004 they were honored by being crowned Valentine King & Queen of the Greenfield Manor.
Harriet loved to play cards, listen to polka music & gondancing. She loved being with her family & friends. She never knew a stranger & always had a smile for everyone.
She was preceded in death by her parents & great-granddaughter Amber Davis.
She is survived by her husband Raymond of Greenfield Manor; daughters Patricia Walker & husband Dale of Fontanelle; Sandra Davis & husband Roquel of Lenox; 8 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters Marge Bloxon of Downey, California; Marian Cardwell of Greenfield; Jean Shanks of Hot Springs, Arkansas; Joan Thompson & husband Don of Greenfield; other relatives & friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday Sept.21 at the Greenfield United Methodist Church with the Rev.Chad Lierman officiating.
Music tributes were by organist Janna Nelson, pianist Cynthia Campbell & vocalist Wayne Handley & Ruth Means.
Pallbearers were Kevin Davis, Doug Davis, Jeff Walker, Jerry Walker, Jay Walker & Mike Dolan.
Honorary pallbearers were Ryan Downing, Pete Nelson & Eric Samualson.
The floral committee was Julie Downing, Kristen Walker, Sally Davis, Lisa Samualson, Traci Nelson, Lynette Richards & Cindy Davis.
Interment was in the Greenfield Cemetery.
