Ann Wilson, 95, of Eagle-Vail, Colo., [formerly of Greenfield area] died at her home in Colorado March 19,2005.
Funeral arrangements are with Bailey Funeral Home, Leadville, Colo., and Steen Funeral Homes, Greenfield. Public viewing will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday, March 24 at Steen Funeral Home. Private burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery. The family requests donations to be made to the Mayo Clinic Research for Dementia Research or Mayo Clinic Research for Macular Degeneration Research.
Ann L.Wilson was born May 29,1909, in Cummings, Traill County, N.D. She was the daughter of Detleff and Ann [Rasmussen] Larson, both natives of Norway.
She grew up in Grand Forks, N.D., lived in Des Moines for 10 years, moving to Greenfield in 1962 before eventually moving west in 1985. Ann attended school in Grand Forks, N.D., graduating from Grand Forks High School. She attended University of N.D. where she was affiliated with Pi Beta Phi Sorority.
Ann married Richard Wallace Wilson on Nov.1,1933.
She was precded in death by her parents; husband; her only sister Hazel Doyle; and her only brother Arvid Larson.
She is survived by her children Mary E.Wilson, Suzanne W.Wilson, Richard W.Wilson of Eagle-Vail, Colo., Henry M. and wife Wendy Wilson of Spirit Lake; 5 grandchildren Kimberly and husband Tom Woodward of New Castle, Colo., Heather and husband Brad Young of Highlands Ranch, Colo., Kelly and husband Richard Buxton of Grand Junction, Colo., Andy and Aaron Wilson of Spirit Lake; 4 great-grandchildren Jordan, Jamie, Joseph and Elizabeth Quintana of Highlands Ranch, Colo. She is also survived by her cousin Kate Overmoe of Hillsboro, N.D.
