Wendy Sue Crawford,48, passed away Wednesday March 9,2005, at the Adair County Memorial Hospital in Greenfield.
She was born Jan.4,1957, in Lincoln, Neb., to NickSmith Jr. and Bobbie Grace Mehan.
Wendy was raised in Lincoln, Neb., and graduated from Lincoln High.
On June 24,1985, Wendy was united in marriage to Jon Burnett Crawford in Lincoln, Neb. To this union 3 children were born: Kelly, Jacob and Roy.
Wendy and her family lived near Fontanelle. She worked as a waitress at the Nodaway Diner in Greenfield. She enjoyed fishing and going to drive-in-movies. Wendy loved kids and visiting with people.
She was preceded in death by her mother; grandfatherl Windy Mehan; 2 uncles, Tom and Junior Mehan; and an aunt, Judy Mehan.
She is survived by her husband Jon B.Crawford; daughter, Kelly D.Crawford of Greenfield; 2 sons, Jacob B. and Roy B. both of Fontanelle; her father Nick Smith Jr. of Toledo, Ohio; 2 sisters Debbi Decatou and Dawn Comer both of Lincoln, Neb.; brother Don and wife Peggy Smith of Lincoln; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial services were held March 12 at the United Methodist Church in Fontanelle with the Rev.Jerry Hoff officiating.
Music tributes were by organist Cynthia Campbell and congregational hymns.
