Geraldine Leona Marsh, 84, passed away Monday, Feb.21, 2005, at Fountain West Health Center in West Des Moines.
She was born Nov.2,1920, in Casey to Clifford and Laura Mae [Skellenger] Millhollin.
Geralding was raised and educated in Guthrie Center.
On Nov.26, 1936, Geraldine was united in marriage to Dale Ray. To this union 3 daughters were born: Nancy, Sandra and Donna. Dale Ray passed away on Mar.9,1955.
On Feb.14,1960, Geraldine was united in marriage to Howard H.Marsh.
She worked as a bookkeeper for John Deere Implement, Gilman Lumber and Lumberman's Independent until retiring in May 1995. Geraldine lived in the Stuart area for many years until moving to West Des Moines in 2000. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Dale Ray and her brother Rex Millhollin.
She is survived by her 3 daughters: Nancy J.Simmons of Grimes; Sandra S.Tipaldi and husband Frank of Laguna Niguel, Calif.; and Donna Cornelison; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; her brother Clarke C.Millhollin and wife Julia of Panora; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield Feb.25,2005, with the Rev.Kathy Sides officiating.
Pallbearers were Frank Tipaldi, Gene Skellenger, Conrad Smith, Wade Simmons, Steve Skellenger and David Marsh.
Honorary pallbearers were Rodney Cornelison, Brett Little and Randy Cornelison.
Interment was in the Greenfield Cemetery.
