Charles Joseph Lapp, 69, of Perdido Key, Fla., died at home on Feb.7,2005.
He was born Sept.14,1935, in Kansas City,Mo., to Vernon Wesley and Esther Elizabeth [Hulse] Lapp.
Chuck lived and graduated from high school in Auburn, Ala., attended Auburn University and enlisted in the U.S.Army for 3 years. He graduated from Iowa State University in Ames.
He married Roberta Nadine Green of Greenfield in 1960.
Chuck spent 33 years in the railroad industry. He earned his Private Piolt, Instrument Rating, and Commercial Pilot Licenses.
Throughout their life together, Chuck and Robbie were active in their local United Methodist congregations and as international volunteers with the Institute of Cultural Affairs. They retired to Perdido Key in Pensacola, Fla., in 1992.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 44 years, Roberta of Perdido Key, Fla.; by their 3 children Clifford Joseph Lapp and wife Jola Godwod and their sons Nathaniel Julian Lapp and Nicholas Charles Godwod of Green Bay, Wis.; Wesley Robert Lapp and wife Nancy Napp and their daughter Zan Miray Lapp of Hood River, Ore.; and Cynthia Jeanne Lapp of Minneapolis, Minn.; and his sister Frances Lapp Averitt and her husband William Averitt of Winchester, Va.
