Death of Emma Giles

Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Giles 79, were held Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Christian Church in Stuart where she resided until 11 years ago when she went to Cody, Wyo., to cake her home with her son Fred. Her husband preceded her in death in 1923, surviving are 9 children, a sister Mrs. Alta Devibliss of Redfield; 3 brothers Elmer, Guy and Jim Dupuy. Merle Giles and his wife the former Daisy Hodges who spent her girlhood days in Grove Township, returned to Iowa from Golden, Colorado to attend the services. Their daughter Mrs. Ernest Grimm from Searsboro, Ia., also accompanied them here. Members of the Rebekah Lodge attended in a body. Burial was in the Stuart Cemetery. Mrs. Giles passed away in her sleep while visiting in the home of her daughter Mrs. Mabel Ohlson at Cody, Wyo. on April 25,1958.
