Walter Noland is Claimed By Death

After a prolonged illness, Walter Noland, a resident of Adair County since 1884, died in the Adair County Memorial Hospital in Greenfield, about 2 o'clock Friday morning, Dec.26,1958.
He had been experiencing a decline in health for 10 years and for more than 3 years had been a semi-invalid. During this time he was a patient in the local hospital for a period of months and also in theGreenfield Rest Home, but more recently had been cared for in his home. He was taken to the hospital Wednesday of last week when his condition became serious. He would have been 86 years old on his next birthday January 3, 1959.
Funeral services were held at the Bickford Funeral Home at 2:30 o'clock Sunday, Dec.28 with Rev.Gerald Noland officiating, assisted by Rev.Donald Arthur.
Russell Piper and Paul Bickford sang 2 Hymns, "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Good Night And Good Morning", accompanied by Mrs. Donald Hogan, organist.
Pallbearers were William Bennett, Arthur Ferrell, Bert McBride, Lyle Musmaker, Clyde Welcher and Dale Wood. Burial was in the family plot in the Greenfield Cemetery.
