D.F.Breheny 76 Dies At Audubon

BREHENY, MONAHAN, LYDON, MILLER, MCDANIEL, CASS, STRAUSSER, DICKEY AND ROGERS

Dominic F.Breheny 76 who had lived most of his life in Greenfield and Adair County died at his home at Audubon about 10 a.m. Sunday June 1,1958. He had been confined to a wheel chair for 16 years due to arthritis.

Mr. Breheny was born at Earlham but moved to Adair County many years ago. About 4 months ago he and Mrs. Breheny moved to Audubon to make their home.

Surviving him are his widow Martha; 2 nephews who also are foster sons Lyle Monahan of Audubon and Dale Monahan of Vancouver, Wash.; 3 brothers John of Greenfield; Pat of Des Moines and Frances of Casey; 2 sisters Mrs. Maggie Lydon of Des Moines and Mrs. Agnes Miller of Casey.

Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Tuesday June 3,1958 at St.John's Catholic Church in Greenfield with Rev.B.Kane officiating at the Requiem High Mass.

Those serving as casket-bearers were Vincent Breheny, Clair Dickey, Frances Lydon, Raymond Miller and Vern Richards. Burial was in the Greenfield Cemetery.

Some of the other relatives attending were Jay McDaniel of Brighton, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Monahan and family of Audubon; Mr. and Mrs. John Cass of Orient; Mrs. Harold Strausser of Creston; Mr. and Mrs. Francis Dickey of the Menlo area; Mr. and Mrs. John Rogers and daughter Valinda of Des Moines.
