Services Were Friday For George W. Elliott

Funeral services for George Wilbur Elliott, 85, life long resident of Adair county who passed from this life at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, Dec. 24 1974, at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, were held at the Bick-Murray Funeral Home in Greenfield at 1:30 Friday Dec. 27 with Rev. Willis Grant officiating.

George was born on October 2, 1889, the last of four children, to Kyer and Harriet Louise (McMullen) Elliott.

Mrs. R. O. Bailey provided organ music for the service.

Burial was in the family plot in the Greenfield cemetery. The pallbearers were Lowell Aupperle, Frank Jandrey, Larry Jandrey, Lyle Main, William R. Main and Joe Slorah.

He was a retired county road maintenance employee.

His wife Rusia preceded him in death in July 1966, and immediate survivors in nieces and nephews.
