Mary Blanche Elliott Claimed By Death

Mrs. Mary Blanche Elliott (nee Herrick), 92, familiarly know as Blanche to a wide circle of friends, passed away at eight o’clock Saturday night April 13,(1974), at the Adair County Memorial Hospital. Death was caused by a malignancy which had kept her confined to a nursing home during the last years of her life. She had observed her 92nd birthday March 29.

Her husband John preceded her in death Nov. 25, 1962.

Immediate survivors included a son Drew of Sanborn, North Dakota; six grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; and a sister Mrs. Esther Parlee of Greenfield.

Family and friends paid parting respects to Mrs. Elliott at funeral services conducted by George G. Hunt D. D. of the Greenfield United Methodist Church at two o’clock Monday afternoon April 15 at the Bickford-Murray Funeral Home in Greenfield.

Comfort in music was provided by Mrs. R. O. Bailey playing favorite organ selections.

Dorothy Freeman and Eileen Armstrong had charge of the floral tributes.

Burial was in the family plot in the Greenfield cemetery with the following pallbearers: Tom Anderson, Douglas Armstrong, Verle Armstrong, Roger Chambers, Delmar Miller, Roger Roberts. Honorary bearers were Otis Bailey, Malcolm Herrick and Wilton Winn.
