From the Adair County Free Press, 1968 “Roy R. Woodson Claimed by Death: Roy R. Woodson, who had farmed for 25 years six miles north and two miles west of Greenfield, passed way about 9:00 pm Friday night at the West Heights Marno at Clarinda, Iowa. He had been experiencing a decline in health for some time. He was born in Cass County, March 10, 1888 and his life span covered a period of 80 years, 4 months and 9 days. Survivors are his wife Edna, a son Bernard Woodson of Stuart, three daughters, Mrs. Arlene Roberts of Toeldo, Iowa; Mrs. Norma Ashley and Mrs. Lorna Thomas, both of Stuart; 23 grandchildren and one great, great grandson.”
