Mrs. H. O. Ewing

The death of Mrs. Herbert Ewing occurred at her home in this place Saturday afternoon, following a protracted illness of TB complicated with heart trouble.

Mary Elizabeth Wissler was born in Madison County, Iowa May 29, 1877. At the age of 13 she was bereft of both parents and afterward, made her home with her oldest brother, Rev. H. L. Wissler, until the time of her marriage. She was married to Herbert O. Ewing , 13 Nov 1898 at Exira, Iowa. To this union were born two daughters, Minnie Lorraine and Leila Pauline, who are left to comfort the father in the bereavement and to mourn the loss of a loving and devoted mother. Besides the husband and daughters, she leaves three brothers and two sisters. She was a faithful and consistent member of the Congregational Church and member of the Eastern Star. Burial will be in the Fontanelle Cemetery.
