Funeral services for Margaret Miller, who died Sunday morning at the home of her aunt, Annetta Dennis, after a week's illness from influenza, were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Rhines funeral home with the Rev. Scott officiating. Burial was made in Mt. Harmony cemetery at Elkport.

Miss Miller was born July 13, 1883 at Dubuque, Iowa, the oldest daughter of the late William and Emma Miller. She received her grade and high school education in the schools of Dubuque county, later attending college at Epworth, Iowa.

She moved with her family in 1904 to Starbuck, Manitoba, Canada, where she did practical nursing for many years. In 1939 she came to live with her aunt, Mrs. Anneta Dennis at Edgewood.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Ruth Mills and four brothers, Emmett and Clyde of Winnepeg, Canada, Earl of Carpenter, S.D., and Elias of Perry, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Ray.

Those who attended the funeral from a distance were Mrs. Elias Miller, Mari____ and Wilbu_ Perry, Iowa; Mrs. Ruth Mills, Winnepeg, Canada; Earl Miller, Carpenter S.D.; Mrs. Oral Cain, Waverly; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bradley, Mrs. Fred Bradley and Mrs. Contes, Dubuque; Mr. and Mrs. Ver_ Dalen, Donna Mae and Bobby, Mrs. Maggie Hall, Strawberry Point; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Hall, Elias and Clair, Elkport; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley McDowell, Colesburg; Mrs. Leonard and James, Elkader.

The pallbearers were: Paul Reimer, George Thompson, Byron Sherman, Glen Wonleighton, Marvin Stone and Shirley Phelps.
