The Jackson County Genealogical Chapter has a large collection of information on file at the Library in the Museum in Pearson Center on the Jackson County Fairgrounds in Maquoketa. The members have been adding to the collection for some time.
  • MEETINGS: Held on the 3rd Monday of each month at 1:30 p.m. in the Historical Society Museum Library, Maquoketa - unless otherwise announced.
  • MEMBERSHIP: Yearly dues are $7.00, renewable January to January. All members will receive their quarterly newsletter, Genie Gems, and may submit a free 50 word query. Join here.
  • RESEARCH HOURS: Tuesday through Friday 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Saturday & Sunday 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • RESEARCH: Inquiries will be answered through the Chapter at $5.00 per hour. Photocopies are an additional $.25 each (chapter and historical society members $.10).
You are invited to submit your ANCESTOR CHARTS - FAMILY GROUP SHEETS - and INDEX FILE CARDS. It is through the joint efforts of the members that they are able to enlarge their files, so that they can better able to research and have the family information here for those who are looking for their JACKSON COUNTY ANCESTORS.
