| C. B. & Q. existed between | 1868-1970 |
| Chicago, Ft. Madison & North Western | 1899-1901 |
| Iowa Central | 1888-1912 |
| St. Louis, Keokuk & North Western | 1875-1901 |
| If the information about the railroads is correct, the Chicago, Ft. Madison & North Western seems to lock in the date of the map to a year either side of 1900. | |
