Paul Wetzel Family

On December 25, 1933, Paul Wetzel and Eva Hale were married and lived on a farm 9 1/2 miles N.E. of Murray. Eva, being a school teacher, finished her term 2 miles east of Murray.

In 1947 they moved to their present farm 1 1/2 miles south of Murray, where this picture was taken of their 2 sons, Dale Eugene and Robert Olin.

Dale was born in 1936, his wife, Marie (Mathes) and twin daughters, Debra Jean and Jackie Lynn, born in 1958, live in Storm Lake, Iowa, where Dale teaches in Junior High School.

 

Robert born in 1940, wife, Peggy (Fenn) and daughter Susan born in 1965 live in Omaha, Nebraska, where he is an accountant in the Federal Land Bank. He formerly taught in Chariton High School.

Paul's parents, Brady M. Wetzel 1875-1949, and Elizabeth (Burgus) 1876-1930, were farmers 10 miles N.E. of Murray. lie was a member of the board of Supervisors for several years.

Eva's parents, Charles E. Hale 1886-1967 and Iona (Smith) Hale 1887-1967, were life long residents of Clarke Co. and farmed until ill health forced them to move to Murray.
