LESTER W. WHEATLEY, John A. Wheatley's second son, was born in Vermont in 1853 and later moved with his parents to Wisconsin. In 1872, L. W. Wheatley moved to Brighton Township in a covered wagon and engaged in farming. He later acquired the farm of his brother O. W. Wheatley, and expanded it to include over 1000 acres by turn of the 20th century. L. W. Wheatley married Laura Ann Sheffer in 1873 and they both passed away in 1934, leaving 11 children - Frank, Joseph, Lottie, Ben W., Etta, Ida, Harry, Susie, John M., Grace and Dearie.
