HENRY SANNY was born in Brokdorf, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, on December 7, 1856. He came to America at the age of 17 in 1874 and worked as a grocery clerk in New York City until 1878, when he removed to Iowa and settled here in Brighton Township on a farm. He married Dora Rolfs in Marne in 1878 and the couple had four children, Hattie, John, George and Henry. Henry and Dora Sanny retired in 1914 and moved to Atlantic, where she passed away in 1916. Henry Sanny died in Atlantic at the age of 86 in 1943.
