HENRY PETERS was born in Luin, Germany, and married there before emigrating to America in 1868. He came to Cass Conty, Iowa, in 1869 and purchased 80 acres in Section 16 of Brighton Township from Ambrose Pellett. This farm was gradually expanded as the family prospered over the years. Henry Peters was the father of four daughters, one of whom married Hans Kuehl. This farm remains in the Kuehl family and the fifth generation still occupies this tract of land.
