DR. CHARLES H. McCLEES was born in Madison County, Indiana, on January 1, 1858. The family moved to Warren County, Iowa, in 1866. C. H. McClees attended Des Moines University and the State University of Iowa, graduating in 1881. He commenced his medical practice in Marne on June 1, 1881. Dr. McClees married Harriet Roark in Marne in 1883, and they had two children, Edna and Bessie. Harriet McClees died in 1888, and he was married to Emma Williams in 1889, and they had three children, Merl, Sidney, and Hazel. Mr. McClees opened a drug store in Marne and maintained it in connection with his medical practice for many years.
