Looking for information on the early congregation of the Holmes Lutheran Church/Norwegian Immigrants? My Great Grandparents were married in this church: Stenard Anderson & Martha Helland. They both immigrated here from Norway. Originally came to the Sheldahl & Kelly, IA area. I believe the same pastor who baptized Martha in Sheldahl also performed their marriage ceremony in Holmes. Where could someone obtain information from the church records. Is the church still active? They are buried at the Holmes Cemetery.
