Louis Larson
16 August 1870 ---- 18 February 1953

Lewis Larson, son of Elizabeth and Lars Larson, was born August 16, 1870 near Clinton, Iowa. At an early age he moved with his parents to a farm near Duncombe, where he grew to manhood.

On March 31, 1896 he was united in marriage to Minnie Nelson who preceded him in death on July 3, 1942. To this marriage nine children were born. One child died in infancy and one boy, Howard, passed away at six and one-half years of age. A daughter Mrs. V. E. Sellers also preceded her father in death in the year 1936.

Mr. Larson engaged in farming near Eagle Grove for nearly thirty years and in March of 1925 he retired to Eagle Grove. Mr. Larson was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church.

He is survived by two sons, Arthur and Martin both of Eagle Grove; four daughters, Mrs. Ellen Amonson of Eagle Grove; Mrs. Elsie Christopher of Bode; Mrs. Irene Runner with whom he resided until his death, and Mrs. Doris McHenry of Fort Dodge. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Mrs. Jeanne Mater of Fort Dodge; Mrs. Elaine Anderson of Des Moines; Mrs. Edna Andersen of Newell; Miss Mary Larson of Eagle Grove; and Mark McHenry of Fort Dodge. Also, three great grandchildren and one brother, Martin of Fairfield, Mont., and two sisters, Mrs. Ida Gaffey of Fort Dodge and Mrs. Bertha Meyers of Webster City.
