Goldfield News

Chris Thomson Christensen, 84, passed away at his home Tuesday, November 20, following an illness of several weeks' duration. Mr. Christensen had enjoyed good health despite his advanced ago until his last illness. The deceased was born in Denmark November 8, 1850 and came to this country in 1873. He was a residence of Franklin county for a number of years, coming to Goldfield about twelve years ago.

Mr. Christensen was united in marriage to Mrs. Minnie Neilsen of this city about twelve years ago and since that time has made his residence here.

The deceased is survived by his widow and five children as follows: Mrs. Annie Ammerman of Goldfield, Christ Thomson of Latimer; Tom Thomson of Des Moines, Art Thomson and Mrs. Lizzie Bohnsack of Hampton.

Short funeral services were held at the home Thursday with Rev. R. M. McCracken in charge after which the funeral party went to Coulter where services were held at the St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. E. E. Hansen in charge. Burial was made in the St. John’s cemetery near Coulter.
