Hildor Zacheus Isaacson
20 October 1877 ---- 11 January 1951

Dows - Funeral services for Hildor Isaacson, 73, were conducted at the Halvorson Funeral Home Monday afternoon. He suffered a stroke Tuesday and died at his home at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

Mr. Isaacson was married in 1909 to Miss Nora Peet. She survives, also a daughter, Mrs. Harry Meyers of Williams; a son Charles Elwin at home; one grandchild and a sister, Mrs. Ida C. Young of Chicago.

The funeral was in charge of the Rev. R. W. Brough with burial in the Fairview Cemetery.

Hildor Isaacson, youngest son of Isaac and Christine Isaacson, pioneer residents of Dows, was born in Ishpeming, Michigan on October 20, 1877. He came with his parents to Iowa in the spring of 1878. They settled on a farm in Franklin County where he grew to manhood. On December 8, 1909 he was united in marriage to Nora Peet. A year later they moved to Minnesota where they lived for six years and then returned to Dows. In 1919 the family moved to Clarion where Mr. Isaacson worked as a mechanic. He returned to Dows in 1936 where he has made his home ever since.

For the past 14 years, Mr. Isaacson has been afflicted with almost complete loss of eyesight but has born his handicap with rare courage and cheerfulness.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nora Isaacson; one daughter, Mrs. NiLore Meyers; one son, Charles Elwin; a grandson, Roy Gene Meyers and a sister, Mrs. Ida C. Young of Chicago, Illinois.
