Mary Elizabeth Clapp Kell
9 December 1849 ---- 16 May 1946Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Kell, 96, died Thursday, May 16, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kell, with whom she made her home for many years.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Kastler Funeral Home at 2 o'clock with Rev. Harry Throckmorton, of Hampton, former pastor of the Baptist church here officiating. Mrs. Scott Ellsworth sang, accompanied by Mrs. Richard Knutson. Pallbearers were T. W. Brown, Leon Vilmain, W. M Copp, Frank Way, George Van Sickle, and Emmanuel Larson. Interment was in Rose Hill cemetery.
Obituary
Mrs. Mary Clapp was born to parents, John and Elizabeth Clapp on Dec. 9, 1849, in Park [Darke] county, Ohio. She was united in marriage to George Kell, July 1, 1880, who preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 1935. She leaves to mourn, three children, Myrtle Clawson of Chicago, Ray Kell of Kenyon, Minn., and Ernest Kell of Eagle Grove; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. One sister who lives in Vancouver, Wash,, and one brother in Seattle, Washington.
Attending the funeral from out of town were: Mrs. Eloise Lloyd and daughter of Omaha, Neb., Ernest Clawson and Mrs. Myrtle Clawson of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Kell and Mrs. Swanson of Kenyon, Minn.
