Burdette Leonard Stockdale
23 September 1911 --- 4 July 1969

Burdette L. Stockdale, 57, died Friday at the Veterans Hospital, Des Moines where he had been a patient for two weeks. He had been in failing health for the past few years.

Services were at 10 a.m. Monday at the Kastler Babcock Funeral Home with interment in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Anne Stockdale, Eagle Grove; two daughters, Sharon Stockdale, Des Moines, and Mrs. Beverly Henry, Marion; one brother, Lawrence, Eagle Grove; one sister, Mrs. Ralph Edwards, Rochester, Minn.; and four grandchildren.

Mr. Stockdale was born in Eagle Grove and attended Eagle Grove schools. He worked at Wilson & Co. until he was inducted into the army in 1945. After his discharge in 1946 he was in the construction trade.
