Christopher Bertinius “Chris” Tesdal
5 May 1884 ---- 14 March 1946

Christopher Bertinius Tesdal was born to the parents Ivar and Anna Tuesday, May 5, 1884, in Iowa, and died at his home in Eagle Grove Thursday, March 14, 1946, at the age of 61 years, 9 months, and 10 days. He received the Christian baptism, was taught the way of salvation in Christ, and confessed his Christian faith in his youth, at Thor. In 1901 he moved with his parents to Eagle Grove, which had since been his home.

Christ never married and is survived by his four brothers, Lewis of New England, N. D.: Andrew, Henry, and Arthur, all of Eagle Grove, and by two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Lilleskau of Vincent, and Mrs. Gladys Sadler of Eagle Grove, also by seven nephews and nieces. His parents, one brother, Willie, and one sister, Alma, have passed away before him.

Christ was of a quiet and reserved nature, a kind and faithful friend. He was a dependable man who gave full time in his work. For some time, his health has been gradually failing, until he quietly passed away Thursday evening.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, March 18 from the Kastler Funeral Home and the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran church with Rev. T. J. Severtson in charge. Burial was made in the family lot in Rose Hill cemetery.
