March 8, 1932 --- April 5, 2020

WOOLSTOCK — Mildred (Millie) Anderson, 88, of Woolstock, died Sunday, April 5, 2020, at Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion. Due to the state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will be having a public memorial at a later date. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with the services.

Mildred Marie Anderson, daughter of Penry and Maude (Malaise) Evans, was born March 8, 1932, in Woolstock. She graduated from Woolstock High School. On September 12, 1964, Mildred was united in marriage to Joseph Anderson at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Webster City. She had worked at Woolstock Co-op and First State Bank.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Joe; daughter, Joan and husband Mark Bettle, of Ankeny; four grandsons, Austin Bettle of New York, NY, Derrick and wife Amy Bettle, Collin Bettle and Joseph Bettle, all of Ankeny; sisters-in-law, Betty Evans of Fort Dodge, Bev Anderson of Jewell and Jane Schroder of Webster City; several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Millie is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gerald Evans; brothers-in-law, Jim Anderson, John Anderson and Chuck Schroder.

She was an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church serving on numerous committees.

Mildred (Millie) Anderson, 88, of Woolstock died Sunday, April 5, 2020 at Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion during the pandemic. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 16, 2021 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, with visitation starting at 9:30 a.m. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with the services.
