26 May 1864 ---- 28 May 1944

Oscar L. Warberg died Sunday at a nursing home in Goldfield where he has been a patient for some time. He is survived by a daughter and son, Mrs. Arthur Hay and Elmer Warberg of this city.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Wilson's Chapel, in charge of Rev. Harry Throckmorton. Burial was made in Rose Hill cemetery.

Obituary

Oscar L. Warberg, son of Lars and Anna Warberg was born May 26th, 1864 in Lee, Ill. and died in Goldfield, Iowa, May 28th, 1944 after a long illness at the age of 80 years and 2 days. His early days were spent in Lee, Ill. where he attended the rural schools.

In December of the year 1895 he was united in marriage to Alma Oberg of Galesburg, Ill. To this union two children were born, Elmer Warberg and Mrs. Arthur Hay of Eagle Grove. On June 8, 1936, his companion passed to her reward.

When a young man he was converted and joined the Lutheran church and until the time of his death he was faithful to his church. He was a loving husband and a kind father, a good neighbor, and a friend to all.

Besides his children he leaves to mourn his passing, one sister, Bertha Tasted of Chicago, Ill., two brothers, Frank, and Albert, of Lee, Ill., three grandchildren, Donald, Lorena, and Helen Hay of Eagle Grove and other relatives.
