Rollie E. Goodman of Webster City was buried here Wednesday. Mr. Goodman died suddenly Sunday after a heart attack. He was in the barber business here for 10 years. Monday's Freeman-Journal carried the following account of Mr. Goodman's passing:

Rollie E. Goodman, 60, died suddenly at his home, 1104 Walnut street, Sunday morning, death being caused by a heart attack. Mr. Goodman had gone out to the car to go downtown for the mail when he was stricken suddenly.

Funeral arrangements are pending the arrival of two daughters from Michigan. Fosters in charge. Burial will be made in Eagle Grove.

Born June 1, 1882 near Winslow, Ill., Mr. Goodman came to Hamilton county with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John F. Goodman, when he was seven years old. He grew to young manhood on a farm near Webster City and attended the rural school of the community.

He was married Sept. 20, 1905 to Lena Teig at Eagle Grove where they set up housekeeping. Mr. Goodman was in the barber business at Eagle Grove for about 10 years before moving to Minnesota, where the family located on a farm near Wadena.

The Goodman's' lived for a time in Charles City and Webster City, later going to Fort Dodge where he was employed as a salesman for 19 years.

In August of 1942, they purchased the family home on Walnut street and had lived there since.

Mr. Goodman was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter who died in infancy. Surviving are his wife and three daughters, Mrs. Walter Deering of Alabaster, Mich.; Mrs. Hal Piatt of Fort Dodge; Mrs. Stanley Rogers of Newport, Mich. There are nine grandchildren. Three brothers also survive; Fred of Barnum, Minn.; Ed of Iowa Falls; and Clyde of Alden.

Mr. Goodman was a member of the Congregational church at Eagle Grove.
