Vera F. Knuths Banwell
4 August 1902 ---- 3 January 1976

Mrs. Vera F. Banwell, 73, a lifelong Dows area resident, was found dead at her home in Dows Saturday. She had died sometime on Friday. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, January 6, 1976 from the United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery and the Willim Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born on August 4, 1902 at Dows and was the daughter of Irvin and Agnes Paul Knuths. She was raised and educated in the Dows and Rowan area and worked in the homes in the community. On August 11, 1948 she was married to Arthur Banwell at Salton, Minnesota and they lived in Dows.

Surviving are three sisters: Mrs. Arthur (Dorothy) Draves of Dows; Mrs. Robert (Joyce) Jernegan of Klemme and Mrs. Raynard (Vernetta) Waters of Clarion. She is also survived by three step-sons: Claude of Clarion, Max of Dows and Leigh of Fort Collins, Colorado. Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers and her husband in 1968.

Mrs. Banwell was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Ladies Aid of the church, Pastime Sisters and Royal Neighbors of America.
